This article presenis statistical data on the reliability of diesel engine cylinder iiners Besides, discussed is the methods of determining the boundarey conditions that may occur at tension-deformed States of Diesel cylinder Iiners. The influence of design features and operating regime of a Diesel engine on thermał stress of the cylinder liner is shown.
